Today's pic of the day for my 365 project was not actually captured today.  This pic was taken this past summer.

When I read the subject matter of this week's contest at I Heart Faces, I remembered this photo immediately.  I love the way the wind is moving G's beautiful long black hair across her face in the same dreamy state that she herself seems to be in as she smells the flower. 

As photographers, it seems that many times we are trying to fight the wind to get the clearest view of our subject,  In this case, I am happy that I did not or I would have lost this beautiful moment.

107/365 ~ Anticipation!

E-man waiting patiently...well....kinda patiently for his turn to sample some homemade juice at a local farmers market today.

It was a wonderful, albeit hot time spent with dear friends browsing local produce, baked goods, food stuffs and some crafts to round it out.  This was the treat of the day.

Ethan drank Lime juice and Katie had Mango.   

Well worth the wait!

100/365 ~ Learning to be Mitvah Makers!

Mitzvah - Hebrew word loosely translated to describe the act of expressing human kindness.

When Katie Starr told us that she wanted to help the people that were suffering in Japan as a result of the earthquake and Tsunami, we came up with an idea of asking for donations in return for a sweet thank you treat.

When we spoke about it to Katie's friend M and her mom C, well, let's just say they jumped right in and went to town baking.  I baked too but not nearly as well as C did!

Today was the day that we put our plan into action and with the assistance of Ethan and the parents, these two sweeties solicited donations after religious school was done for the day to the tune of $150.00.  All proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross and earmarked to go to the affected areas in Japan.

Today was a success on every level.  Money was raised and important lifetime lessons were instilled.  Win - Win!

I resort to serving these once in awhile! I am lucky enough to have a hubby that does most of the cooking but tonight was a night that I had to come straight from work to get the DD and in order to get them to bed at a decent hour they got this frozen dinner....cooked of course! ;-)

Well, at least they were happy as you can see by this pic of my mischief man!

Today my sweet Chelsie, who is like a daughter to me, took this picture of Marc and I at Katie Starr's 6th birthday party. We were watching the children have a blast and it was a wonderful moment caught when we were completely unaware; love that!
